Cruise Mania

I've been absent again because I lost my voice. Summer in Florida for me wears me out, no complaints but I don't really thrive in Summer here. But I absolutely adore my home state and can't say enough good about it!

We're seriously blessed to live in a state and vicinity so close to a Port! Literally a 30 minute drive! So the allure of cruising for me is huge!!!

In the last year we've went on four cruises. Though none longer then five nites. It absolutely resets my internal calm clock! Restful, healing, peaceful and so easy to be.

The big news is that I booked us a eight nite cruise to western Caribbean in November for our 12 year anniversary. It's been that long?! Right?!!!

Super duper excited!!!!
IF we luv eight nites I then want to try fourteen. My goal is to do the fifty nite cruise outta Miami that goes to Europe! And cost is only $5500! Would be the trip of a lifetime!!!!! Only goes out once year in October. I'm not a fan of flying so this is purrfect for moi.

These we're taken in Turk Caicos. Gorgeous can't wait to go back in November!

I feel soooooo soooooo blessed. I thank my lucky stars for such a great life.

Haven't Had A Voice

I love Blogging. And everything it represents.
I've been doing it for a very long time.

I go thru ebbs and flows like we all do. But my recent break from blogging really saddened me.
I didn't feel like I had a voice for blogging.
I thought I had nothing to say. I felt empty.
It was very bad for me.

Because even those times are worth blogging about. Maybe even more than when it just flows.
I know i need to share my truths. So that's when I'm going to start doing. And I'll do the best I can with it. As a come out of this funk for lack of a better word.

Shanti's Serene Saturday

I don't know about you but the last few weeks of my life have been to say the least overwhelming.
I've had lots of beautiful things happen, I've had some disappointing things happen, and in between.
I haven't had a really a chance to catch my breath. And that's what today is for.

Do I ever need today. I celebrated 15 years recovery a few weeks ago, yeah. I Had a wonderful celebration with beautiful people in my life. Who I love and adore.
I joined Weight Watchers this year. It was a gift for 2014. And I'm starting to lose weight. Even other people are noticing!
We've decided to move back to Titusville. In one weeks time.

Now the time is to rest my mind for a day before the chaos of moving sets in....

The good thing is it's only stuff. A house doesn't make a home and it only matters that wherever we are we're together.
Reading and meditating on letting go of attachments really helps me with this.

Today I journal. Today I read on how to live a balanced life. Today I read on manifesting. Eat healthy + think healthy = feeling healthy. Time for a reprieve from life♥

Gorgeous Faux Fur Leopard Jackets

I love old Hollywood! Especially the 50's 60's and 70's era!
My luv affair with a beautiful coat started......

Past week i was lucky enough to be near a Chico's Store. Luv them! Such a treat. Wonderful sales staff, and beautiful jewelry & clothing. Dream!
True story, my wallet, not so much!
I was truly blessed though and able to get 50 percent off on all their sale items. So I scored a few really cute pieces. For really good prices! Staple pieces I call them!!

After getting home i decided to looky at the website.
Eeeck! I found something that is just spectacular!
Something I could have for a very very long time in my wardrobe. & I love that!

Without further ado here is the jacket of my dreams.......

Gorgeous right?

This thang of beauty is from their Black Label Designs. Luxurious looking.... Great with jeans and boots, simple black dress, black palazzo pants and leopard tee! Endless possibilities. It's a short jacket but warm enough for Florida's winters!! Here is the link check it out

Drum roll....... The price is $189.00. Did I mention my wallet doesn't like Chico's? Like at all? Hmmmm... well out of my league.

I'm not one to give up easily! I go to my favorite place to find well that perfect something. Since.... I can't afford that perfect gorgeous Chico's jacket. Maybe an imitation? Or something similar? For quite a bit less!
That would be Ebay. I've found some gr8t new clothing purchases for much less then even Marshalls.

Draw back is figuring if size, and style will fit ...

Sometimes you just gotta dive in and take THAT chance!
Here's what I found!

I know I know its not the same jacket. Not even the same color reference. Or style. I totally get that.
But remember I'm trying to find something in my price range and sometimes that means color, style and design are going to be way different.

What it does have going for it is the same luxurious old Hollywood glamour feel. That's what I was going for. And I believe this piece has that.
They did show on one of the photos of the interior of the jacket was a luxurious polyester high quality lining. & I like the big bell arms on it.

Also it's a Moda International piece. Same company that does Victoria Secrets Coat designs. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Lol.

Drum roll.... Price: $34.00. I won the bid at $24.00 but $10.00 to ship!

Can't wait photos to come!!!

Did I mention my wallet luvs Ebay? They got a little thing going on... I think it maybe serious! Lol

Channeling my inner Jackie

Jackie O that is. Fashion wise.
I've spent the last few months reading more on JFK and now Jackie since it was 50 years past November that Jack was assassinated.
Alot of new books, magazine's and articles on the subject.

As I look at photos of Jackie I realize she has a similar look of my mother. Same hair texture and color, skin tone, similar style. My mom likes classic dress. My mom wears big sunglasses.
My Mom @ 84yrs young!

I also am moving more in that direction.
Discerning what I bring home to my closet. Will it last? Can I wear it a few years from now? Will it be a style still popular? Fashionable?

Of course at this moment I don't have the deep pockets that Jackie O did. But I can still have a classic, hip style.
I'm really fine tuning my look. Must be the turning 50 last April thang.....

I luv black, zebra, leopard, gold, silver and bronze. For winter of course.
One of my fav store's is Chico's.

But I'm mad about thrifting good names. Something my mom and I doubt Jackie were into.

As I redefine myself this year I'm excited to see what's around the corner! -Luv -Simply Shanti
